Five State Societies comprise the South Central District:  Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, & Texas, affording the acronym "MOKAT".  SCD meetings are hosted by sponsoring state societies in the following order:  Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas






The 2014 South Central District Annual Conference will be hosted by Texas Society SAR, on Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel DFW South, Irving, Texas.

The room rate is $89 per night (King bed) or $99 per night (2 Queen Beds) plus taxes; breakfast buffet Saturday morning is included.  For attendees who do not stay in the hotel, a reduced price for the hot breakfast buffet is $15 per person (inclusive of taxes and gratuitiy).

For those flying into Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport, complimentary shuttle service is available to/from hotel.  For those driving to the hotel, directions are available on the hotel web site at  Free wi-fi is available for hotel guests.

The SCD meeting Registration Form (see link) is available for accessing hotel reservations and registering for the meeting.  Please download the Form and follow the instructions provided.  When registering for the SCD Annual Conference, please complete the Registration Form, indicate your meal selection, make your check payable to “TXSSAR”, and mail the Form and check to the address indicated.

When making hotel reservations, use Group code “SARSCD” when calling or contacting the hotel.  Rooms are blocked through Friday August 8, 2014.  After that date the blocked rooms will be released.

Highlightlights for the SCD annual meeting include “Meet the Candidates Forum” for Officers seeking national office 2015-2016 on Friday 5:00pm - 6:00pm; Guest of Honor, NSSAR President General Lindsey Brock, is the featured speaker at the Friday Banquet 7:30pm - 9:00pm; and a Business meeting on Saturday morning 9:00am - 11:00am.  Dress for the banquet is business attire and blazer or sport coat for the business meeting.

There will be a Ladies Program on Saturday morning 9:00am – 11:00am, featuring two 45-minute programs about the American Revolution by Tom Crowe.

Attendees wanting to stay Saturday night to tour local attractions and venues are encouraged to make reservations at the contract rate for the SCD Annual Conference with departure on Sunday, including a free hot breakfast in the hotel food court.
